The World’s largest online retailer asked us to make sure its brand new office in Holborn, central London, met fire safety requirements before it moved 1600 staff into the 210,000 square foot glass and steel building.
We had previously certified Amazon’s offices in London’s Barbican and in Slough, which housed many hundreds of the large company’s employees.
The impressive curved office building in Holborn Viaduct is arranged over 12 floors and was being opened up in phases which made the project more complex.
We carefully programmed the installation of new extinguishers to coincide with the site roll-out so that we could be sure employees were safe from day one of their office move.
Because of the large amount of electrical equipment in the offices, we made sure to install carbon dioxide and foam fire extinguishers for additional safety.
All in all we were able to complete the work in just four days.
